Short Squeeze

Traditional Chinese: 被嘎1 real trading day

A short squeeze is when price rises sharply against short sellers, often driven by aggressive buy orders, forcing shorts to decide whether to hold or exit. In day trading it can happen within seconds, pushing price several ticks above the short entry.

Right after entering, big buy orders pushed price up: a small first wave, then a stronger second wave that ran up to just under VWAP. I stayed put and followed my rules: there was resistance above VWAP, so going higher would not be easy.
